Madeira is not for everybody..

Although the island’s tourism slogan says, “Madeira is for everybody” or “Madeira tão tua”, the truth is… it’s really not.. And that’s part of what makes this island so special!

Don’t get me wrong - Madeira welcomes everyone with open arms 🫶 But it’s not your typical beach destination, and it’s definitely not a place where comfort comes without effort or a price. Those stunning Instagram shots might give the illusion of an easy, risk-free adventure park where warning signs are just decoration - but Madeira is truly wild, unpredictable, and breathtakingly real.

This island rewards curiosity, respect, and a sense of adventure.

However, if you are a traveler who prefers all-inclusive resorts over rugged trails, predictable weather over dramatic microclimates, or touristy spots over deep-rooted local culture, Madeira may actually NOT be your dream destination and that’s ok, we’re all different and we all have our preferences!
