Porto Santo Travel Itinerary

Porto Santo is a dreamy island off Madeira, with nearly 9 kilometers of golden beaches that are perfect for year-round relaxation and swimming. Plus, its sands are legendary for their healing properties, said to soothe joint pain!

For the adventurers, check out the stunning hiking trails like Pico do Castelo for breathtaking views (though we opted for a car because of the heat)

HOW TO GET THERE:
Travel from Madeira by ferry (2.5hrs) with Lobo Marinho from the Porto Santo Line or hop on a quick 15-minute flight with Binter. Please note that the ferry is cheaper than the plane. Normally in the month of January the ferry is out of service for maintenance.

WHERE TO STAY:
We loved our stay in a gorgeous yurt @destinationhostels in Calheta, on the far west side of the island. It’s close to the beach, super clean, and the staff were amazing!

BEST PLACES TO EAT:
Restaurante Adega das Levadas
Quinta dos sabores
Apollo 14 Bar & Bistrô
João do Cabeço Restaurant
